Welcome to the Lands of Lore Guardians of Destiny where you play Luther, son of Scotia, who has a curse put on him and now not by choice is morphing into a Beast and Magical Lizard. You will play through a world with stunning graphics and sound. Throughout the game you can trigger cataclysmic events, miraculous escapes or lethal battles, and use your own instinct on getting your way through the game. Enter the mysterious caverns of the Dracoid ruins. Discover gruesome altars and witness secret ceremonies never before seen by humans. Set in a reactive environment, this real-time role playing/adventure game features animated 3-D high resolution graphics perfected after years in development. Lands of Lore Guardians of Destiny has an awesome array of spells and effects, calling down fire storms, floods, and devastating lighting strikes or summoning forth the legions of the dead. Fully configurable, easy to use interface makes this game fun and sometimes addictive.

TIPS
Pressing esc when in the game will allow you to get to the main menu where you can save, load, etc. Also, you will be able to get hints in this menu; this will not give you all the hits for the whole game but will give you good hits to help you get past the particular level that you are in.

Getting a black screen when you are trying to run Lands of Lore Guardians of Destiny
Could be a possibility that your video card may not be able to display at 600 x 400. You can see if this applies to you by running the LOLG setup utility. Or run the setup and set the default display to 640 x 480. If this does allow you to get into the game or if all else fails, try to contact your manufacturer of your video card to see if any update video drivers.
Sound not working
First ensure that first your Sound Card is 100% compatible with one of the sound cards on the back of the box. If positive 100% compatible, you will want to run the setup, usually in C:\WESTWOOD\LOLG, and run setup and try to set the IRQ DMA and PORT to the correct settings.
NOTE: you will not be able to access any other programs while Lands of Lore Guardians of Destiny is running. |
