Williams tube

A cathode-ray tube (CRT) storing device and a data storage device used with early computers. The Williams tube was originally filed for a patent by Freddie Williams in December 1946 and finished by Freddie Williams and Tom Kilburn. The device was capable of storing between 512 and 1024 bits of data
