Photoshop overview

Adobe Photoshop is available in several different versions, the latest version is Adobe Photoshop CS2, which is short for Creative Suite 2. Below is a listing of some of the earlier versions.

Adobe Photoshop is the primer graphic and photo editing program used by almost all professionals. Photoshop allows all formats of images, such as GIF, JPG, PCX, BMP and many more images, to be imported and edited, customized or changed into almost anything imaginable.

Below are some of the new additions added to Adobe Photoshop 5.5.

Animation - Adobe Photoshop 5.5 now allows for the user to animate images to be posted onto the web.
Web Optimization - Adobe Photoshop 5.5 now allows for images to be optimized, decreasing the sizes of the images, dramatically speeding the load time.
Rollovers - Adobe Photoshop has the capability now for users to create rollovers, allowing images to change when the mouse is placed over the image.
Easy Transparency - Create transparency on images where needed.

Photoshop LE

Adobe Photoshop Limited Edition is a release of Photoshop that still contains many of the power tools available in Adobe Photoshop. However, takes away of some of the more advanced features, allowing for a lower priced version of Adobe Photoshop.
